At Epping Heights OOSH we aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your children. We are committed to providing a quality, fun program that allows the children to choose how their time will be spent at OOSH. The program includes a variety of arts and crafts, activities, games and sport on a daily basis. Theme weeks are organised based on the interests of the children. A quiet time in the afternoon is provided for children listed on the 'homework list' to complete their homework.
Epping Heights OOSH operates in the same building as the Kids' Canteen at Epping Heights Public School providing both before and after school care. During school term the Centre is open from 7.00 am to 8.35 am, when schoolteachers begin supervising the playground, and from 3.05 pm to 6.00 pm. For the first term, kindergarten children are escorted to the Centre by staff in the afternoon. The Centre also provides Vacation Care and is open on School Development days, from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm. Please refer to published programs for details of the full day activities and costs.
To enrol, you are required to lodge a Child Enrolment form, a Family Information form, a Booking Change form showing the child's attendance pattern and pay the $20 annual Membership Fee. Enrolment forms and Parent Handbooks are available from the Centre or the School Office.

Attendance Fees per child: Permanent Casual

Plenty to do at Out of School Hours Care

All families are entitled to the government's Child Care Benefit (CCB) payment, which provides a discount to the Centre's fees. Higher discounts are given if the family complies with means test criteria.
A variety of breakfast foods are served each morning. A nourishing afternoon tea is provided each day with fruit served later in the afternoon.
The Centre has staff consisting of the Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator and several assistants. The Centre adheres to the Child Care Standard of one staff member to every 15 children. An Administrative Services Provider is employed to handle all administrative matters of the Centre.
A voluntary group of parents comprise the Management Committee who decides matters of policy, fees, staffing and all matters relating to running the Centre. A copy of the Centre's Policies and Procedures is available at the Centre for interested people to read upon request.
The Parent Handbook details the rules under which the Centre operates. Parents are required to read this handbook prior to enrolling their child.

For more information please contact Megan Hobson (Coordinator) or Liz Gosper (Assistant Coordinator) at the Centre on 9869 0602 or myself on 9868 7401.
