Since formation in 1988, "Currency Lads" has become a well recognised name in Bush and Folk music circles, known for the ability to entertain with dynamic arrangements, instrumentation and strong vocal harmonies.

Now a veteran of over 3000 shows, the band performs at high profile public events, festivals, corporate functions, weddings, birthday parties, bush dances and school functions as well as club and pub gigs. Recent highlights include stage shows on the QE2 and the MSS Rotterdam.

The band currently performs regularly at well known venues including The Mean Fiddler Hotel, The Gaelic Club, The Shamrock Inn and other clubs and pubs on the circuit throughout Sydney and New South Wales.

Currency Lads is sought after for functions where bush dances are taught and called, having a large list of dances on tap. The bands strong repertoire of Bush/Irish and folk is supported by a popular mix of Country and Pop Music covers, lending a contemporary flavour to a 'Currency Lads performance.'

The Lineup now includes Ray Abela - Fiddle and Vocals, Sarah Dunn - Keyboards and Vocals and Ralph Graham (Ex Eureka!) - Guitar and Vocals. The band adds other players as needed and uses professionally developed custom tracks for bass and drums delivering a tight and exciting sound.
