Jammin'
with Gypsy
|
|
Released
in 1998, is the CD, "Jammin' with Gypsy", featuring
Dave Swarbrick on the fiddle. Dave, well known for his contribution
to Fairport Convention and for his busy career since with
Whipper Snapper, Martin Carthy, Alistair Hewlett and solo,
spent a couple of years living in Australia in the late 90's.
Based in the Blue Mountains near Sydney he travelled Australia
- and the globe! - performing a busy round of festivals, concerts
and recording sessions. His short association with Eureka!
before returning to live in the UK saw the joining of forces
for live performance and the studio sessions that produced
the new CD. Swarb also contributed an instrumental as the
"playout" of Andy's "Mad About You" on
the CD, and called it "Seige of Sydney Streets."
